Ceesepe ("Noche Cálida"

MAMÁ GRAF EDITIONS (BARCELONA) — 2-Piece Spanish Avant-Garde & Movida Diptych (1984–1986) Lot Title / Headline: Ceesepe ("Noche Cálida", 1984) & Agustí Puig ("Sabadell", 1986) – 2-Piece Spanish Contemporary Art Diptych – Mamá Graf Editions (Barcelona) – 50x70 cm Each – Near Mint / Archive State Description: A magnificent, highly complementary two-piece diptych celebrating the golden era of mid-1980s Spanish visual culture, published in Barcelona by the legendary art print atelier Mamá Graf (Enrique Granados 23). This collection bridges the two defining aesthetic movements of Spain’s post-Franco cultural explosion: the vibrant, erotic Pop-underground of Madrid's "Movida Madrileña" (Ceesepe) and the raw, gestural Neo-Expressionism of the Catalan school (Agustí Puig): • The Two Included Masterworks (approx. 50 x 70 cm each): Ceesepe (Carlos Sánchez Pérez, 1958–2018) – "Noche Cálida" (1984) Published by Mamá Graf in 1984 and printed by Tipografia Empòrium S.A.. An iconic, sensual composition of La Movida Madrileña featuring an entangled group of party-goers, bold Art Deco/Pop typography ("new", "LOOK"), seductive Clear Line figuration, and rich Mediterranean pastel coloring. Lower left includes the integrated title plaque "Ceesepe 1984 / 'NOCHE CÁLIDA'", alongside full publisher margins bearing the official Mamá Graf glasses logo and Barcelona address. Agustí Puig (b. 1957, Sabadell) – "Sabadell, Otoño Ochenta y Seis" (Autumn 1986) Published by Mamá Graf in 1986 and printed by Tipografia Empòrium S.A.. A powerful, gestural Neo-Expressionist depiction of an artist or artisan working intensely at a table in his studio, built with thick, energetic brushstrokes in slate, ochre, white impasto textures, and deep charcoal tones. Plate-signed by Agustí Puig in the lower right image field, complete with lower margin credits: "SABADELL OTOÑO OCHENTA Y SEIS / AGUSTÍ PUIG / MAMÁ GRAF 1986" and publisher logo. • Printing & Technique: Both works are original, authentic 1980s gallery offset lithographs executed on heavy, premium wood-free fine art paper stock (papel libre de ácido).
