It was designed by the the famed Korolev design bureau. The modified Soyuz flew in July 1975 for the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project, the first U.S.-Soviet joint space venture. Today the venerable Soyuz continues to operate flying missions in conjunction with NASA ferrying astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) The watch comes with a special automatic Slava 2427 movement. This is unque due to the double barrel inside the movement, which has 22 jewels. The design for thiese movements were already in production during the Soviet era, and are a modern version today.
