Carpet - 144 cm - 133 cm - Kapunuk Jallar Paidar

An antique, hand-knotted rug (Kapanuk) used as a decorative cover above or around the entrance of a yurt (tent). This was used by nomadic peoples. This piece was made in the late 19th or early 20th century and features tight, angular, and geometric patterns. There is evidence of the old and traditional technique in the hand-knotted fringes at the bottom. The kapanuk still bears the original seal. The dimensions are shown in the photos. The item is carefully packed and shipped with a tracking number.
