Carl F. Bucherer - Patravi - 11.0892 - Men - 2010-2020

Carl F. Bucherer Patravi Chronograph Big Date 11.0892 – 40 mm – automatic chronograph – big date – silver dial – black leather strap The Carl F. Bucherer Patravi 11.0892 is a characterful Swiss automatic chronograph with a sporty-elegant look. The 40 mm stainless steel case is paired with a silver-colored dial, three sub-dials, a prominent big date, and bold skeleton-style hour and minute hands. One of the most recognizable details is the big date under 12 o’clock, where the date is displayed in two adjacent apertures. The three sub-dials give the chronograph a technical character, while the applied hour markers and the silver dial keep the overall look classic. The watch features a transparent case back, making the automatic movement and the decorated rotor visible. The currently worn leather strap will be replaced before sale. ────────────────── Basic information Brand: Carl F. Bucherer Collection: Patravi Reference: 11.0892 Type: automatic chronograph Movement: mechanical automatic Functions: hours, minutes, small seconds, chronograph and big date Case diameter: 40 mm Case material: stainless steel Dial: silver-colored Crystal: sapphire glass Back: transparent case back Water resistance: 50 meters / 5 bar Bracelet: black leather strap, to be replaced Clasp: original Carl F. Bucherer folding clasp Origin: Swiss Made ────────────────── Important details 40 mm stainless steel case Automatic mechanical movement Chronograph function Three separate sub-dials Big date under 12 o’clock Silver-colored dial Applied rectangular hour markers Skeleton-style hour and minute hands Central chronograph second hand Fine minute scale along the outer edge Luminous accents Carl F. Bucherer logo on the dial Transparent case back Decorated automatic rotor Chronograph pushers on the right side Black leather strap Original Carl F. Bucherer folding clasp ────────────────── Year of manufacture Estimated period: circa 2000s The Patravi collection was introduced in the early 2000s, and this 11.0892 belongs to an earlier generation of automatic Patravi chronographs. Without additional dated documentation, an exact production year is not provided. ────────────────── Case The round case is made of stainless steel and has a diameter of 40 mm. The case has a robust yet elegant shape. The polished bezel flows into a relatively substantial middle case with clearly formed lugs. On the right side are the crown and two chronograph pushers. The pushers have dark inserts that nicely contrast with the polished steel. The case is in used condition and shows visible signs of wear. Especially on the polished bezel, case sides and around the lugs there are scratches, hairlines and small signs of use. No heavy dents are noticeable. ────────────────── Dial The silver-colored dial has a subtle vertical satin-like finish and forms a beautiful contrast with the dark details. The hours are indicated by applied rectangular hour markers. The markers have dark central areas and polished surrounds. The large skeleton-like hour and minute hands give the watch a distinctly sporty character. The hands have light elements incorporated for better legibility. Along the outer edge is a detailed minute and second scale with five-unit markings. Under 12 o’clock are the Carl F. Bucherer logo and the brand name. At the bottom of the dial is “SWISS MADE”. ────────────────── Big date A striking complication of this Patravi is the big date under 12 o’clock. The date is displayed via two adjacent apertures, allowing significantly larger numerals than a conventional date display. The big date forms a central part of the design and is easily legible due to its position directly under the brand name. ────────────────── Chronograph The watch features an automatic chronograph with three sub-dials. At 3 o’clock is the small running seconds for normal time indication. At 9 o’clock is the 30-minute chronograph counter. At 6 o’clock is the 12-hour chronograph counter. The long central hand is used to record the elapsed chronograph seconds. The sub-dials are equipped with concentric circle patterns and dark outer rings. This gives them extra depth and makes them clearly distinguishable from the silver main dial. ────────────────── Movement The watch is powered by a mechanical automatic Swiss chronograph movement. Type: mechanical automatic Frequency: 28,800 vph Functions: hours, minutes, small seconds, chronograph and big date Winding: automatic via rotor The movement is visible through the transparent case back. The automatic rotor is adorned with the Carl F. Bucherer logo and gold-colored inscriptions. Parts of the underlying mechanism are also visible through the sapphire crystal back. ────────────────── Timegrapher measurement Rate deviation: -5 seconds per day Amplitude: 241° Beat error: 0.1 ms Lift angle: 52.0° Frequency: 28,800 vph These values reflect the performance of the movement during the performed measurement. A timegrapher measurement is a snapshot and does not constitute a guarantee of future accuracy or the technical maintenance state of the movement. ────────────────── Back side The case features a transparent back, allowing the automatic movement to be seen. The stainless steel outer edge is secured with multiple screws and bears various engravings. Reference: 11.0892 Water resistance: 50 m Collection: PATRAVI The transparent construction provides a good view of the decorated rotor and parts of the mechanical movement. The back shows normal to clear signs of use, including scratches and hairlines on the polished steel parts. ────────────────── Crown and chronograph pushers On the right side of the case is a large fluted crown. Above and below the crown are the two chronograph pushers. They have an elongated shape with dark inserts, giving them a clearly sportier character than the rest of the polished case. The crown, pushers and surrounding case parts show signs of wear consistent with the overall condition of the watch. ────────────────── Band The depicted black leather strap has an alligator texture and contrasting light stitching. The current strap is clearly worn and shows deterioration, creasing and signs of use around the holes and wear points. This leather strap will be replaced for sale. ────────────────── Clasp The Carl F. Bucherer folding clasp remains. The steel clasp is stamped with: Carl F. Bucherer Carl F. Bucherer logo The clasp shows obvious superficial scratches and signs of wear, but the engravings are still clearly visible. ────────────────── Wrist size With the shown strap, the current wear size is around 18–19 cm. Because the leather strap is being replaced, the final wear size depends on the newly mounted strap. ────────────────── Condition Case: used, with visible superficial scratches and signs of wear Bezel: visible hairlines and scratches Dial: good condition Hour markers: good condition Hands: good used condition Crystal: clear, with normal signs of use Crown: good used condition Chronograph pushers: used condition Case back: transparent, steel parts with signs of use Movement: mechanical automatic chronograph movement Rate deviation: -5 seconds per day Amplitude: 241° Beat error: 0.1 ms Current strap: worn and to be replaced Clasp: original Carl F. Bucherer folding clasp with signs of use ────────────────── Overall condition This Carl F. Bucherer Patravi 11.0892 is in a neat but clearly used condition. The 40 mm stainless steel case shows scratches, hairlines and other normal signs of wear, especially on the high-gloss polished surfaces. The silver dial is presented well and features the prominent big date, three sub-dials, applied hour markers, and pronounced skeleton-like hands. The combination of a big date and an automatic chronograph gives this Patravi a distinctive technical character. Via the transparent case back the automatic movement with decorated Carl F. Bucherer rotor is visible. During the timegrapher measurement a rate deviation of -5 seconds per day was measured, with an amplitude of 241° and a beat error of 0.1 ms. The depicted black leather strap is clearly worn and will be replaced. The original signed Carl F. Bucherer folding clasp remains and will be used on the replacement strap.
