Caprilli by Bates - Saddle - 1988

Here is a riding classic reserved for Amazons and riders who respect equestrian traditions: the saddle, in this case in a 17.5-inch size (the quarter measurements are shown in the photos), which Bates Australia has dedicated, from the 1990s onward, to Federico Caprilli, the officer regarded as the father of the so-called "natural horsemanship". The piece is presented in overall good condition. It should be noted, however, that the inner lining of the cushions, as clearly shown by the fifth-from-last and fourth-from-last close-up photos, needs to undergo proper treatment. Because it bears unmistakable signs of wear and age, which are not visible from the outside and do not affect the saddle's functionality or versatility. A truly "minimalist" price for a riding aid of such prestige.
