Capodimonte - Tea service (15) - Porcelain - For 6 people

Prestigious tea service for 6 people produced in Italy by the Capodimonte Ceramic Manufacturing. Elegant and scenographic porcelain tea/coffee service in Capodimonte style, consisting of a teapot with lid, a sugar bowl, a creamer, and six cups with their saucers. The service features a refined decoration characterized by rich raised ornamental motifs, with volutes, leaves and arabesques that encircle the lower part of the cups, the saucers, and the containers. The relief, deliberately exuberant, creates a pleasant contrast with the white surface of the porcelain. The decoration is completed by gilded borders and fine lines and by small polychrome floral motifs, with bouquets of flowers in shades of pink, blue, green and yellow. On the teapot and sugar bowl, elaborate lids with large ornamental volute elements stand out, while the handles of the cups and the containers echo the same decorative language, contributing to the monumental appearance of the whole. The result is a service with a decidedly Baroque and Rococo character, in which the richness of the modelling prevails over the simplicity of the forms. It is a particularly interesting example of that Capodimonte-style porcelain production that, especially between the 19th and 20th centuries, revived and reinterpreted the taste of the famous Neapolitan manufactory. The service is in excellent condition, with no defects. Rare
