Candleholder - Brass / yellow copper (or Bronze) - Floor candle holder with pen

Antique brass candle holder / bronze church candlestick - Floor candlestick with shaft (110 cm) - 19th / early 20th century Beautiful and monumental antique church candlestick (altar candlestick / pedestal candlestick) made in heavy yellow copper (brass) or bronze. With its impressive height of no less than 110 cm, this is a full-sized floor candlestick that immediately gives a classic and atmospheric appearance to any interior. The candlestick is constructed using the traditional method: the different segments of the streamlined baluster stem and the stepped round base are threaded onto a central iron rod, which is secured at the bottom with a nut. The top features a deep wax pan with a sharp pin (pricket) to firmly position thick (altar) candles. The object is in a beautiful, authentic condition with a deep, well-worn patina that emphasizes its historic character. Condition notes: The copper has a natural oxidation layer and light signs of aging (some surface candle wax residues and minimal traces of copper green). Important: There is a clear dent in the upper part of the foot’s contour (see detail photos). However, this does not affect stability. No visible foundry or maker marks present. Specifications: Height: approx. 110 cm (including shaft) Foot diameter: approx. 28 cm Material: Brass / yellow copper (or Bronze) Origin: Europe (likely the Netherlands or Belgium) Dating: 19th century / early 20th century Please review the extensive photo series carefully for an accurate impression of the condition and the dent in the foot. The object will be carefully packed and shipped.
