Camden, New Jersey. $10 1882 Brown Back. Fr. 482. The Camden NB. Charter #3372. PMG Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ. A visual stunner for the grade assigned. This Series of 1882 $10 Brown Back issued by the Camden National Bank (Charter# 3372) at some point around 1903 offers testament to more than simply a stint in circulation responsible for the grade assigned by PMG. Instead, bidders are met here with crisp original ink tones that effortlessly distinguish both the engraved and overprinted elements of the design in a manner evocative of an example at a much higher grade while lovely signatures attributable to Cashier Elias Davis and President Francis Carpenter Howell amplify that impression in a manner that defies mere words. Further held together with the fact that only 19 non-institutional notes are recorded on this institution by the National Bank Note Census, it takes little to figure that this is indeed an opportunity for the collector who specializes in this once-bustling industrial powerhouse situated directly across the Delaware from Philadelphia. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500. Click here for certification details from PMG.
