Call bell - antique French hotel bell - France - service bell hotel bell bel

Beautiful and rare antique figurative table bell (hotel bell / reception bell) from the late 19th or early 20th century. This highly decorative collectible features a finely cast figurine of a boy dressed in historical (colonial or Baroque-inspired) clothing. The young figure stands on an elegantly worked, semi-circular base with floral and Baroque motifs. Above his head are the metal bells. What is special about this model is the ingenious mechanism: by turning the knob, the internal clappers strike against the bells. This type of bell was used around 1900 on the counters of chic hotels, in mansions to summon staff, or in shops. View the photos for a good personal impression. Photos are an important part of the description.
