She is seated on a blue sofa, in front of a red Persian rug and a lacquered screen. On the black furniture, a blue and white vase and an orange flower complete the scene. The palette is bold, almost theatrical. The blues and reds respond to each other as in Matisse’s interiors, while the restrained face keeps the mystery of a nap one does not dare disturbing. An interior scene where color makes all silence. Mixed technique: acrylic paint on pigment ink print, matte spray varnish.
