A large Bronze Medieval Byzantine cross. Pendant cross with flared arms, decorated with engraved holes. Can be worn with a suspension ring. The engraved 5 shallow holes represent the five wounds of Jesus Christ, a devotional expression that refers to the five wounds Jesus received during his crucifixion. Byzantine period from the 6th to the 8th century AD. Dimensions: height 7.2 cm. Will be shipped registered and insured. I combine shipping when buying multiple lots.
