Byzantine Bronze Signet Ring with Cruciform Monogram – 10th to 11th Century AD A Byzantine bronze signet ring featuring a substantial hoop widening toward a raised rectangular bezel engraved with a complex cruciform monogram. The deeply incised geometric arrangement was designed to function as a personal sealing device, combining letters and cross-shaped elements in a form characteristic of Byzantine monogram rings. The ring preserves an extensive dark brown and green archaeological patina, with mineral deposits and surface wear that emphasize the strongly aged character of the piece while leaving the engraved design clearly visible.
