I present at auction a rarissime and fascinating vintage Bugatti timepiece from the "Ellipse / Driver" line, a quartz high-precision model marketed mainly around the late 1980s to the early 1990s. This iconic timepiece belongs to the famous exclusive series of celebratory pieces distributed in conjunction with the rebirth of the historic automotive brand and the legendary debut of the Bugatti EB110 supercar. The watch design is a continuous homage to the world of engines of the era: the oval/elliptical stainless steel case is adorned with a stunning bi-color bezel with laser-edged screws plated in yellow gold, while the spectacular integrated bracelet in satin and polished steel explicitly recalls the teeth and geometry of a high-performance timing chain like the original. Technical Details and Dial Iconography: Brand: Bugatti (Official License / Driver Line EB110 Era). Movement: High-precision Quartz (Perfectly Working) Dial: Ivory/white light background with black Arabic numerals and small window date at 6 o'clock. At 12 o'clock sits the legendary and unmistakable red oval Bugatti emblem. Case and Bracelet: Solid stainless steel with yellow gold-plated finishes and details (Bi-Color Style).Origin: Inscription "France" on the dial fondo, indicating refined manufacturing and assembly of the case and components. The watch presents in good vintage condition and is perfectly functioning in all its components, keeping excellent time and date jump. Detach yourself from the wrist, it proves to be an exceptional collectible piece with strong aesthetic impact. For maximum commercial transparency to bidders, mention is made of some very small and physiological vintage-era characteristics (clearly visible in the photo gallery): On close inspection, the dial shows a few very light and natural signs of aging. This is a common feature in light-colored dials of this vintage series, which does not affect readability or decorative charm, but testifies to its absolute original period authenticity. The bracelet is equipped with a two-piece safety clasp. It is worth noting that, rarely, one side might open if not pressed firmly; in any case I recommend a tiny, simple millimeter tightening to the clip by a watchmaker to restore the original tension. The watch is accompanied by an elegant and sturdy wooden protective case. For accuracy, I specify that since I am not an expert and received it as an inheritance, I cannot be certain that the Bugatti box is original or contemporaneous with the watch, but it is supplied as an excellent and valuable protective case for the lot. Furthermore, regarding the case diameter, I used a measuring tape and read 30 mm. I guarantee excellent logistics to safeguard this rare piece of Bugatti history: The watch, placed in its wooden box, will be further wrapped with bubble wrap and other materials and placed in a box with additional packing material to prevent vibrations.
