Bruno FERT (Born in 1971) The Absents Bayyarat Hanûn 32°17’46.2”N 34°51’52.3” E - 04.1948 The Absents, 2016 Fine Art print on Hahnemühle Ultrasmooth paper, title and date inscribed in the margin 32 x 25.5 cm (40 x 50 cm) Bruno Fert — Documentary photographer Bruno Fert develops a deeply humanist body of work devoted to exile, migrations and the territories traversed. From vanished Palestinian villages to the precarious refuges of migrants, he photographs less the event than its traces. With Passages, he continues this work on the roads of exile, revealing in the landscapes the marks left by those who strive to reach Europe. A precise and silent photograph, where the landscape becomes a bearer of memory.
