Originally designed in its first version (TS 502) in 1962 by the renowned designers Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper, this particular evolution (TS 505) was introduced in the 1970s. Shell structure: The design’s peculiarity lies in the two cube-shaped housings made of ABS plastic, connected by a hinge. When closed it forms a perfect cube easy to carry via the concealed handle, while when opened it reveals the speaker on one side and the tuning controls on the other. Technical features: Compared to the previous models, the TS 505 includes three-band reception (FM, AM/MW, and LW) and the possibility of dual power supply—either from batteries or via a 220V AC power cord. One small drawback: the antenna does not retract all the way. Photo included
