The individual elements are intricately hand-enamelled and decorated with exceedingly finely executed miniature representations. On a bright turquoise background are delicate white arabesques and floral ornaments. The central image fields show various, highly detailed hand-painted landscapes and architectural scenes as well as bird and plant motifs. What is particularly remarkable is the extraordinarily fine execution of the miniature painting: even the smallest details of the landscapes, buildings, trees, and birds are carefully worked out. Each segment forms its own small composition.
