apoleon III Glove Box — Brass Inlay & Amaranth Wood Description: Stunning Napoleon III-era glove box (second half of the 19th century) in blackened wood. The lid is adorned with a fine Rocaille brass cartouche engraving and two brass inlays framing it. The interior reveals a superb amaranth veneer with warm tones and a large compartment. The box is complete with its original lock and a functional wrought-iron key. Condition: Good condition for its age. Antiqued patina, light cracks/usage gaps in the lid varnish that attest to its authenticity. Inlay well preserved, hinges and lock solid. Two brass fillets missing.
