Box - Wood - 19th-century jewelry box

Refined French 19th-Century Jewelry Casket – Precious Woods, Ebony and Brass Inlays – With Key Splendid and elegant jewelry casket of 19th-century French manufacture, a refined expression of 1800s cabinetmaking, characterized by extraordinary beauty of the wood grain and timeless elegance. Made of wood with a veneer of precious woods with a striking marquetry, it presents a magnificent glossy finish that enhances the warm amber tones and the characteristic natural patterns of the wood. The lid is adorned with a refined central decorative cartouche in brass, framed by elegant ornamental motifs on a black-ebonized background, a detail of great refinement that gives the artifact a distinctive, gentlemanly character. Particularly fascinating is the contrast between the exterior surface, rich in shades and grain, and the interior fully lined with soft deep red felt, which gives the casket a precious and sophisticated appearance. Complete with its charming ornamental key and a perfectly functioning lock, it features brass-toned hinges and metal details. The base is lined with black felt. An object of great charm, capable of testifying to the taste and refinement of writing desk and dressing table accessories in 19th-century France. Dimensions: 26 × 18 × 11 cm. Condition: Excellent overall condition, with light and natural signs of aging compatible with the period. Beautiful gloss finish, careful interior, functioning lock and present key. Ready to display and use. Interior decorating ideas: Perfect atop a refined console, an antique writing desk, a chest of drawers or a bedroom dressing table, where it can become an elegant decorative element. Also ideal in contemporary and sophisticated settings, as a precious contrast between antique and modern design. Splendid as a jewelry box, a case for small precious objects, or a refined collection case. The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow appreciation of the workmanship quality and the state of conservation.
