A highly elegant Art Deco / Mid-Century modern ceramic vase produced by the renowned Belgian manufacturer Boch Frères Kéramis (La Louvière, Belgium). This specific piece beautifully bridges the genius of two design eras. The sleek, ribbed and architectural shape (Model 1191) was originally developed during the Charles Catteau period. This particular post-war execution features the iconic "Rouge et Or" (Red and Gold) style under the artistic direction of his successor, Raymond Chevallier, dating back to the late 1940s or early 1950s. It is a stunning example of the minimalist yet rich post-war Belgian pottery production. The vase has been meticulously preserved. It is completely free of chips, cracks, repairs, or hairlines. The glaze remains vibrant and glossy, and the gilding on the handles and accent rings is beautifully intact with only negligible, age-appropriate wear.
