Title: Leitz BIOMED / Leica – Binocular Laboratory Microscope – 4 Objectives – Vintage Professional Leitz BIOMED binocular optical microscope, manufactured by Leica Portugal. This is a solid, high-quality laboratory microscope fitted with a four-position revolving nosepiece. The microscope is in good overall condition for its age and is in working order. The illumination, focusing controls and mechanical stage movements operate correctly. Equipment: * Binocular viewing head * Four-position revolving nosepiece * 4× / 0.10 – 160/- objective * 10× / 0.25 – 160/- objective * 40× / 0.65 – 160/0.17 objective * 100× / 1.25 OIL – 160/0.17 oil-immersion objective * Mechanical X/Y specimen stage * Condenser * Coarse and fine focusing * Built-in illumination * Mains powered * Manufactured by Leica Portugal The microscope shows normal signs of age and laboratory use, including some cosmetic marks to the paintwork and remnants of a former label on the microscope arm. These are clearly visible in the photographs. The objectives and main mechanical components are present and the microscope is complete as shown in the photographs. This is an attractive vintage scientific instrument, suitable either for practical laboratory or educational use, or for a collector of scientific equipment. The photographs form an integral part of the description and clearly show the condition of the microscope.
