On offer is a historically significant rarity from the V8 era of Formula 1: an original, race-tested carbon front wing endplate of the Benetton Ford B190B from the 1991 season. This is the rare interim car used by the Benetton Formula team exclusively at the first two Grands Prix of 1991 (USA and Brazil) before the successor debuted. Undisputed authenticity proof: The component's authenticity is evidenced by the original factory-embossed serial number on the carbon structure: 190 - 15 - 148 . 02 Since the B-190B was based on last year’s chassis, the design department in Enstone (UK) uses the model number 190, the assembly code 15 (Front Wing), and the part number 148. The ending .02 marks the part as an extremely early production of the B-spec for overseas races. Condition & design: Condition: Unrestored, authentic "Race-Used" condition. Excellent historical patina with fine, race-typical signs (stone chips on the leading edges) from real racing use. Design: Painted in the legendary 1991 Camel Benetton Ford team color scheme. Depending on the side of the car, it features the historic sponsor logos from that brief era (such as Camel, Sanyo, Mobil 1 or Autopolis). Drivers: Used by three-time World Champion Nelson Piquet (podium in the USA 1991) and Roberto Moreno. An extraordinary wall ornament for high-end collectors.
