Hand-knotted Beni Ouarain rug distinguished by its striking combination of natural cream wool and intense blue. The design is formed by a series of vertical blue bands with jagged, asymmetrical contours. Their irregular rhythm brings movement to the composition and highlights the spontaneous character of Berber weaving. A shorter isolated motif appears in the lower section, giving the rug an original and deliberately unbalanced appearance. Made in Morocco from 100% sheep’s wool, this rug has a thick, comfortable pile and a soft texture. Its generous, almost square format is ideal for a large living room, beneath a central table or to structure an open-plan interior. The rug has been washed to remove loose wool and reveal the natural softness and brightness of the fibres.
