A treatise on the eternal bliss of the saints by Robert Bellarmine (1542–1621), an Italian Jesuit and theologian who was notably entrusted with the prosecution of the famous trials of Giordano Bruno and Galileo. Canonized in 1930, he was proclaimed a Doctor of the Church the following year. Remarkable and fresh Flemish binding of the period.
