Belgian school (XX) - Zomerlandschap met hooimijten

Atmospheric Belgian landscape from the 20th century, with a sun-soaked field full of haycocks, bordered by tall poplars. In the distance, a village silhouette appears with a church tower. The work is loose and painterly in execution, with an impressionistic touch and a warm palette of yellow-green, ocher, and bluish-green tones. The artist clearly places more emphasis on light, atmosphere, and rhythm than on meticulous detailing. The composition has a strong rural character and evokes the mood of the Flemish countryside in summer. On the lower right there is a signature, but it could not be identified with sufficient certainty. Therefore the work is offered as Belgian School, 20th century.
