A highly collectible and fully complete 1982 Japanese edition of The Beatles Collection, issued by Toshiba-EMI / Odeon under catalogue numbers EAS-66010~23. This impressive Japanese box was released as part of the 20th Anniversary special project celebrating the formation of The Beatles, clearly advertised on the enormous original gold OBI as a “Special Limited Edition.” The original retail price of ¥28,000 is also printed on the OBI. The 1982 EAS-66010~23 edition contains 13 albums across 14 LPs, with The Beatles (White Album) accounting for the additional disc. This is not merely a collection of loose Japanese Beatles LPs. The set was produced as a dedicated presentation box, housed in the distinctive dark blue imitation-leather box with gold facsimile signatures of John, Paul, George and Ringo. Most importantly, this example remains fully complete with the original Japanese extras, something that makes a major difference with these large vintage box sets. Vinyl: NM – all 14 records A major strength of this set. All vinyl records are graded Near Mint, retaining excellent original gloss with extremely little evidence of previous play or handling. Considering the size of the collection and the age of the set, finding all fourteen discs preserved at this level is particularly impressive. Individual album sleeves: VG+ overall The thirteen original album covers remain in solid VG+ condition overall. They display normal light age and storage wear but remain attractive and presentable as a complete collection. The individual inserts and booklet material are also still present. Outer box: VG The original dark blue box is graded VG. It shows clear age-related storage wear, particularly around the edges, corners and upper seam, with some abrasion and deterioration visible along the top edge. There are also general marks and handling wear to the outer surfaces. Despite this, the box remains intact and continues to present the complete collection very attractively. The original oversized gold OBI is still present, which is extremely important for this edition. It displays noticeable age-related creasing, edge wear and some small tears, all clearly visible in the photographs. The special colour poster and original Japanese box-set paperwork remain present. A superb opportunity to acquire the 1982 Japanese 20th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION Beatles Collection in genuinely complete form: 14 Near Mint LPs, all original Japanese sleeves and inserts, special poster, enormous original gold OBI and the distinctive blue presentation box.
