Beatles - All My Loving / Love Me Do (Japan) – RARE 1969...

A highly collectible Japanese Apple pressing of The Beatles’ “All My Loving / Love Me Do”, issued under catalogue number AR-1094. This is the desirable early Apple-label red-vinyl reissue from the first years after Toshiba transferred the Beatles catalogue in Japan from Odeon to Apple. The AR prefix, Toshiba Musical Industries credit and ¥400 price designation identify it as one of the early Apple variations, while specialist Japanese discographies document the H ¥400 red-vinyl version as the 5th pressing variant. The original Japanese issue of this coupling first appeared in 1964 on Odeon as OR-1094. When the catalogue moved to Apple from 1969 onward, the numerical part was retained and the prefix changed to AR-1094, creating a fascinating series of Apple-label reissues. What makes this copy especially attractive is the translucent RED VINYL. Toshiba’s famous Everclean vinyl was designed to reduce static and dust, and these coloured pressings have since become highly sought after by Japanese Beatles collectors. The record is accompanied by its distinctive original Japanese picture/lyric sleeve, featuring the striking black-and-white Beatles portrait used specifically for this Japanese release. Pressing details: * Apple Records AR-1094 * Japan * Early Apple reissue, circa 1969 * H ¥400 variant * RED VINYL * Toshiba Musical Industries Ltd. * All My Loving b/w Love Me Do * Original Japanese picture / lyric sleeve * Early dark Apple label configuration Vinyl: NM The translucent red vinyl is in outstanding Near Mint condition.
