Bassano - vincenzo - Vase - Majolica - Signed and bearing the trademark of

Splendid and elegant lidded vase (potiche) in Italian maiolica ceramic from a historic period, superb testimony to high maiolica craftsmanship (Venetian school of Nove/Bassano). The piece is entirely hand-formed and hand-painted in cobalt blue on a white ground, with a refined bucolic landscape motif. The ovoid body is embellished with important, sinuous serpentine-twisted handles that terminate in expressive relief grotesques. The piece is signed by the author ("Vincenzo...") on the front of the scene and bears the floral stemmaker’s mark beneath the base. A unique and unrepeatable work of art, perfect for antique ceramic collectors. Material: Tin-glazed maiolica ceramic Conditions: Excellent age-related conditions. It shows the natural and dense crazing of the glaze (craquelé) and slight historical edge chipping of the raw base and rim, typical elements that attest to its authenticity. No modern restoration. Author: Vincenzo (Manifattura stile Nove/Bassano) Era: Late 19th century / Early 20th century (circa 1900-1920) Dimensions: Height 24 cm, Maximum width 20 cm, Body diameter 15 cm Weight: 1122 grams Shipping method: Tracked shipping with professional ultra-safe packaging (double box with ample bubble wrap and polystyrene) to ensure maximum integrity of the fragile item.
