Australian Mookaite Sphere Mookaite - Height: 65 mm - Width: 65 mm- 376 g - (1)

Exclusive Collector's Specimen — This magnificent sphere is carved from mookaite, an extraordinary sedimentary gem, symbol of the ancient lands of Western Australia. A unique palette of vivid colors and stratifications that tell its long geological history. Mookaite formed millions of years ago when silica-rich sediments were deposited in shallow marine environments, slowly transforming into jasper under the influence of geological pressures and chemical processes. The presence of iron oxides and other minerals enriched the stone with an extraordinary color range: from deep red to ochre yellow, to pearly white. Its colors and veining evoke the arid and wild landscapes of the Australian bush. The term “mookaite” derives from “Mooka Creek,” a locality that in Aboriginal language means “many waters,” in reference to the natural springs of the area. The red and yellow tones of mookaite are considered symbols of energy and vitality, while white represents purity and mental clarity. The thin lines and tonal variations are the result of environmental changes this stone has undergone during millions of years of sedimentation and silicification. Mookaite is a variety of microcrystalline quartz (jasper), enriched with clayey materials and iron oxides. Extracted exclusively in the Carnarvon region, in Western Australia, near Mooka Creek, a sacred place for Aboriginal peoples. Mookaite is revered by Australian Aboriginal peoples, who consider it a stone connected to the land and to ancestral energies. According to tradition, mookaite promotes grounding and helps navigate life changes, symbolizing the strength and stability of the Australian landscape.
