Work belonging to the Figurative Realism movement of Italian Twentieth Century. Realism style Splendid and intense winter landscape by Arturo Tosi, dedicated to Rovetta, one of the places most closely linked to the artist’s life and painting. “Winter in Rovetta” strikes with the simple force of the subject: the snow, the village, the mountains and the cold light build a solid, silent image of great charm. The painting is compact, direct, essential: a fully recognizable figurative realism, close in its constructive force to the great protagonists of Italian Twentieth Century art such as Sironi, Carrà and Funi. The work was created in 1943 and represents a typical and particularly sought subject in Tosi’s production. The signature is bottom left. On the back there is the Galleria Annunciata label. Of exceptional interest is the certificate of authenticity on a photo from the same Gallery, which states the archival record of the work and its presence in the registers under no. 7461, in addition to its presence in permanent exhibition: a rare, prestigious and highly collectible element. The gilded and black frame, in a Twentieth Century taste, is elegant, well-proportioned and very suitable for the painting. It enhances the light and the horizontal cut, reinforcing the overall presence of the work. Arturo Tosi (Busto Arsizio 1871 – Milan 1956) is one of the fundamental names of Italian Twentieth Century art, present for decades at the Venice Biennale and in the main national exhibitions. His best works, solid, recognizable and deeply Italian, are today highly valued by the market and represent a choice of great interest for discerning collectors. The buyer will receive the work in careful and sturdy packaging. Very fast shipping. The color rendering and the perception of details in the photos presented here may vary slightly depending on the screen used by the viewer.
