It features a dense artisan wicker and rattan weave with spiral motifs, enriched by gold spheres along the outer edges of the cradle. The supporting frame and shaped supports are made of heavy original wrought iron, the large wheels are built with spokes and an outer ferrule/edge in iron, mounted on a robust solid wood central hub turned on a lathe. The umbrella-cap canopy retains its original lace and embroidered tulle lining with floral motifs. Condition: The item is offered in the exact condition found in a dusty attic, only lightly dusted. It has not undergone any modern restoration, thus preserving greater historical integrity, the originality of all components, and the charming patina of time. The wicker and wood structure are solid. The iron shows natural, consistent surface oxidation due to age. The interior fabrics and the lace of the umbrella (glued to the canopy structure) show the classic signs of time, with yellowing and moisture stains from long-term storage.
