Artemide's beautiful desk lamp Empatia, new, directly from the manufacturer's headquarters diameter 36 cm, 26 W, 3000 K Empatia arises from the union between the rich tradition of blown glass and Artemide’s LED technology. The strong interest in the expressive potential of the material led to collaboration with master glassmakers to gain full control of the distinctive plasticity of Venetian glass and to work on the balance between surface and light, between subtle density and transparency. The result is objects that are clear, pure, which artisanal craftsmanship makes, in effect, unique pieces. Transparency and opacity are carefully dosed to obtain a glass that reflects and diffuses light without glare, without sacrificing efficiency. The result is an optical engine whose heart is a high-performance LED light engine, born separate from the glass emissive body to favor thermal and performance efficiency. The light is controlled with maximum efficiency and guided to the glass diffuser through a transparent light pipe with an extremely low absorption coefficient.
