Gio Ponti – Richard Ginori – 3 original ceramic tiles – La Vendemmia ca. 1930 Offered: three special original ceramic tiles from the series “La Vendemmia”, designed by Gio Ponti for the Italian manufacturer Richard-Ginori, S. Cristoforo Milano. The tiles date from about 1930 and each measure approximately 25 × 25 cm. They bear the original markings and numbers on the back. These are three different scenes from the well-known four-part La Vendemmia series: Il Raccolto – the grape harvest La Pigiatura – the pressing/crushing of the grapes La Bevuta – the drinking/tasting of the wine The tiles are executed in the characteristic geometric design of Gio Ponti (1891–1979) and produced by Richard-Ginori, S. Cristoforo, Milano – Made in Italy. The scenes and markings are clearly visible. The tiles are in nice original condition for their age and are provided with metal frames. A special and now almost 100-year-old Italian design object, of interest to collectors of Gio Ponti, Richard-Ginori, Italian ceramics, Art Deco and 20th-century design.
