Matured in a combination of classic Bourbon casks and rare Marsala Dolce wine casks from Sicily, it yields an exceptional single malt featuring intense fruit, dark chocolate, and salty-smoky depth. This limited edition bottling, at 47.8% ABV, embodies the quintessential "Ardbeg Paradox"—the perfect balance between smoky intensity and sweet complexity. Aroma: Apricot, orange marmalade, peat smoke, maritime notes, light spices Taste: Creamy citrus, dark chocolate, spicy accents, sweet fruits, salty-smoky peat Finish: Long, smoky, spicy with applewood, tobacco, and sweet dried fruit Unicorn 10 years, 46%, 700ml Einhorn is a heavily smoky blended malt scotch whiskey (40 ppm) with a delicate sherry barrel influence. The taste was designed by Whisky.de in a creative process. The Islay and Speyside malts were each aged in oak barrels for ten years. We created the unicorn whiskey from these partly smoky and partly sherry barrel matured whiskeys. In Celtic mythology, the Scottish national animal stands for purity and innocence as well as power and strength. 46% vol - not chilled - Whisky.de exclusive Nose: Intense medicinal smoke after a campfire and peat embers. This is followed by notes of seaweed, vanilla and caramel. Taste: Oily and soft with a delicate sweetness and strong smoke. This is followed by slightly bitter oak, vanilla and caramel. Finish: Medium long and smoky as well as persistently spicy.
