Antoine de Saint-Exupéry – The Little Prince. Paris, Gallimard Library, NRF, 1950. Beautiful old French edition of The Little Prince, illustrated with the famous watercolors by the author. Copy completed for printing on 30 November 1950 on the presses of Imprimeries Paul Dupont in Paris. Print run: 3,254. Edition number: 2,280. Legal deposit: April 1946. The book is accompanied by its dust jacket and presents the complete text as well as Saint-Exupéry's color illustrations. The limitation page indicates that 3,050 copies were bound according to Paul Bonet's layout, of which 3,000 copies were numbered and 50 copies were out of commerce. This is an old reprint from 1950 and not the original French edition of 1946. Overall good condition considering age. Paper slightly yellowed with a few signs of time. Wear/usage marks visible in the photographs. A handwritten inscription from a former owner is present; it is not attributed to Saint-Exupéry. The photographs are an integral part of the description.
