ANTIQUE PRESENTATIONAL WALKING STICK W/ GOLD-FILLED KNOB AND EBONY SHAFT C. 1897–1899. Masonic presentation walking cane featuring an ornate gold-filled handle with elaborate scrollwork, mounted to a black lacquered hardwood shaft. The top is engraved: “Dr. C.J. Jones From the Christian Temple Goldsboro, N.C. 1897–1899” The “B” mark at the collar likely denotes a gold-filled fraternal mount typical of late Victorian Masonic presentation canes. Engraving remains clear and legible. Wood dust is present within the knob, likely from age-related interior shrinkage or separation.
