For sale an enchanting and authentic antique religious banner (wall decorative tapestry) depicting the famous Madonna della Seggiola by Raphael Sanzio. The artifact is an original piece of Italian craftsmanship dating from the period spanning the late 19th century to the first half of the 20th century. Details and features: Origin: Italy (sacred textile manufacture of the era). Era: Between 1890 and 1920 (bridging the end of the 19th century and the Umbertine/early 20th century). Subject: Madonna della Seggiola (with the Infant Jesus and Saint John the Baptist) set in the classic round format. Technique: Chromolithography from the era on heavy laminated fabric. Finishes: Splendid perimeter edge trim and rich lower fringe in original contemporaneous braid in brown and gold. Suspension: Back has 3 fabric loops (brachette) for inserting a wall-mount rod. Back: Equipped with the original light cotton fabric protective lining with signs of age. Total dimensions: Extra Large format - 80 x 56 cm Condition: The object is structurally intact and preserves a beautiful historical patina. It bears genuine and charming signs of time that guarantee its authenticity: widespread folds on the canvas due to storage and a characteristic craquelure effect (micro-cracks on the image surface) that gives the piece a perfect vintage and lived-in flavor. It shows folds and small fissures on the image surface. I’d like to specify that the first photo in the set was optimized with artificial intelligence solely to place an appropriate background, while all subsequent photos are original shots taken by me personally, reproducing the object faithful to reality.
