Anthropomorphic mask - Mossi - Burkina Faso

Polychrome half-face mask. The mouth is triangular in shape with curved lateral walls, which contains inside another triangle, this time with straight sides, both with the apex pointing upward. Above the mouth, a short nose with a wide base. The eyes, almond-shaped, half-closed, with eyebrows drawn as lines on the upper eyelid. Provenance: N Gom Codov, Paris Argiles Collection, Barcelona
