ANNAM. Silver Medallic 7 Tien, ND (1926-45). Bao Dai. UNCIRCULATED. KM-Unlisted; cf. KM-624B (in gold, same dies but with "Khai Dinh" legend). Diameter: 36mm. Weight: 21.23 gms. An interesting type issued from dies previously bearing the name of Khai Dinh (1916-25), thereafter re-engraved on the dies to bear the name of Bao Dai. Deeply toned and exhibiting no signs of wear or the typical holing, with a strong strike and the slightly pockmarked die texture typical of these issues. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,000.
