Todas las subastas / Varios / Animal themed collection - The Franklin Mint – Collection...
A superb set of 5 collectible Owls and Owlets from The Franklin Mint, combining several materials and techniques: fine porcelain, bronze, jade, and frosted glass. A very pretty ensemble that highlights different interpretations of this emblematic bird. The lot comprises five distinct models, each with a different style, material, and finish. Notably, there is an elegant polychrome porcelain owl in blue and brown hues, finely sculpted with beautiful work on the plumage. A second piece represents an owl with wings spread wide, perched on a branch, with a particularly detailed naturalistic setting. Another owl, rendered in bronze-like brown tones, features remarkable texturing that delicately reproduces the various layers of the plumage. The set is completed by two more stylized models: a green jade owl with a pared-down silhouette and a nicely polished surface, and a white frosted glass owl whose translucent, satin finish lends an especially elegant touch to the lot. Several pieces bear the The Franklin Mint mark under the base, along with copyright notices, attesting to their belonging to the collections of the famous American house. This ensemble offers a beautiful diversity of materials, colors, and styles and constitutes a particularly decorative lot for collectors of The Franklin Mint, of owls and owl figurines, or of animal miniatures.
