Angelo Scardino - Il peso dei sogni

A female figure sits atop three stacked balloons: a quiet presence, suspended in a visually striking balance. In this sculpture by Angelo Scardino, the deep purple of the figure and the upper volume meets the turquoise and red of the elements below. The glossy surfaces catch the light, emphasizing the curves and making color the protagonist of the composition. The upward structure invites the gaze to move through the work from bottom to top, up to the seated figure. The contrast between the sculpture's solidity and the apparent lightness of its supports opens a poetic reading: dreams sustain us, but finding one's own balance remains a profoundly human gesture. Made in PLA and resin, the work blends figuration with pop imagery, with a scenographic presence capable of defining a contemporary space. From afar it strikes with its silhouette and color combinations; up close it invites looking at the surface and the relationship between body, matter, and light. A sculpture for those seeking a work with a recognizable character, combining visual immediacy and suggestion. The work is a unique piece and does not belong to a multiple edition. Suitable for collectors of contemporary art, conceptual sculpture, symbolic art, and works produced through digital fabrication technologies. The work is presented in excellent condition. Any slight variations in surface, patina, or finish are not defects but attest to the handcrafting and the piece's uniqueness. Packaging and shipping The sculpture will be carefully protected with professional materials and a multi-layer packaging suitable for its structure. The more articulated and delicate parts will be protected individually to minimize any movement during transport. The shipment will be traceable and insured.
