Original vintage poster – Great Western Railway – The Lizard – 1908 Rare vintage advertising poster from the Great Western Railway, dedicated to the destination The Lizard in Cornwall. Lithographed poster by Andrew Reid & Co. Ltd, Grey Street, Newcastle-on-Tyne, with the mentions Paddington Station N.W. and James C. Inglis, General Manager. A very beautiful early 20th-century composition depicting the Cornwall coast, with colors still remarkably bright, a true testament to the golden age of British railway and tourist posters. The poster bears the original stamp of the Ministry of Railways, dated September 1, 1908, as well as Belgian advertising fiscal stamps, era elements particularly interesting. Dimensions: 101.5 × 63.5 cm. Original vintage poster, professionally mounted on a backing by Schleiper in 2017. The poster is in very good overall condition (see photos).
