Auction description: Elegant Roman bronze discoidal brooch, belonging to the tradition of small personal adornments used during the Roman Empire to fasten cloaks and other garments. It presents an attractive circular design, crowned by a small central relief button, surrounded by a well-defined concentric ring. The outer area incorporates various sunken geometric fields, arranged radially, which provide balance and ornamental richness to the composition.
