It is the model number 515/633. The detailed object shows the outer, middle, and inner ear in cross-section and is a true classic among medical teaching models. W 28 cm x H 20 cm x D 18 cm • • Condition: The model is in good, age-appropriate vintage condition. The colors are charmfully patinated. There are minor flakes on the material. Eye With a length of approximately 50 cm and a height of about 30 cm, this is not an ordinary desk model, but a massive display and teaching model of museum quality. Special feature of the construction: Unlike the common models, which are usually mounted on a small plastic plate, this model stands directly on the massively worked structure of the orbit itself. The heavy block does not require an additional pedestal and thus appears especially authentic. Such XXL models were primarily produced for use in university teaching and for medical lectures. Delivery scope & details (as pictured): The model is highly detailed and shows structures that are often missing in simpler models: Complete depiction of the external eye muscles: The muscle fibers that move the eye are precisely depicted. With "tendon pulley" (Trochlea): The small loop through which a muscle runs is very finely worked in this model. Inner region: The model vividly shows the complex nerve bundles (yellow) and blood vessels in the posterior part of the orbit. Lacrimal gland: Large, plastically represented lacrimal gland on the side. Removable eye: The eyeball can be removed and disassembled into several parts to show the contents (vitreous body, lens, retina, etc.).
