AN EDWARDIAN CEREMONIAL LORD LIEUTENANT'S UNIFORM COMPRISING RED TAIL COAT AND BICORN HAT. A scarlet tail jacket with two rows of nine buttons with a central crown within a wreath, the cuffs and collar finely worked in silver thread with acorns and oak leaves. The reverse with white borders and 'Yorkshire' roses to the tails. With a label dated 1906 for Cooling, Lawrence & Sons 1596 Maj R.H.H. Hargreaves. 51 cm across the shoulders, 108 cm long. With a matching bicorn hat in black with silver bullion to one side and gilt cresting to the ends, with a label for C. Lawrence and Sons. With a metal hatbox marked 'H H C' and travelling trunk 'Lt Col R.H. Harding, and another smaller trunk. The trunks 62 x 31 x 21 cm and 105 x 30 x 26 cm.
