Amilcare Santini (1910–1975) - Sculpture

We are proud to present at auction a magnetically elegant work of art, capable of commanding attention in any setting and imparting an immediate touch of luxury. This magnificent vintage sculpture, signed by the renowned Tuscan art workshop A. Santini, stands as a timeless icon of passion and Italian artisanal craftsmanship. The piece is a true visual poem in motion, instantly evoking the Golden Age of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The sinuous lines of the bodies, the intoxicating rapport of the faces, and the sumptuous drapery of the floating dress recreate the suspended grace of their legendary Hollywood dance steps. The sculptor has managed to perfectly capture the very essence of ecstasy, lightness, and rotation in space. Technically, the work was created by uniting the solidity of marble powder and alabaster with special resins, in keeping with the celebrated and appreciated Santini craftsmanship tradition. The surface then underwent a precious, thick wash of pure silver with a mirror finish, creating a breathtaking play of light, shadow, and metallic reflections. The figure rises on a solid and elegantly slender rectangular base in glossy black resin with a piano-black effect, serving as the perfect pedestal, enhancing and reflecting the silver-bright sheen of the pair. This lot represents an unmissable opportunity for collectors and lovers of classy interior design. The author’s signature "A. Santini" is clearly engraved on the sculpture, ensuring its value over time. The item is presented in good condition; see photos which are an integral part of the description. This is not a mere ornament, but a true gallery-quality piece of art.
