Altar ritual set of a Vietnamese Vĩnh Tiến. Incense burner with lid, base, and coordinated three-cup stand from the 20th century. Interesting and scenographic Vietnamese ritual set, consisting of a large incense burner with lid and base and a three-cup stand complete with the respective recipients. The set can be linked to the Vĩnh Tiến production, as indicated by the brand labels preserved on three distinct components: incense burner, base, and cup stand. The incense burner features a square metal structure in brass color, richly decorated with traditional Sino-Vietnamese inspired motifs. The central body is characterized by elaborate bas-relief decorations depicting mythological creatures, floral motifs, and geometric ornaments. Particularly striking are the zoomorphic supports and the large contoured side handles. The lid, also elaborately worked, is topped by a guardian lion figure, a symbolic element recurring in East Asian traditional art. The base presents additional geometric and ornamental decorations, in harmony with the main body. Completing the lot is a ritual support for three cylindrical cups, characterized by inscriptions in Asian characters and relief decorations. The support also bears the Vĩnh Tiến label, corresponding to those on the incense burner and the related base. The set recalls the Vietnamese altar furniture tradition, used in ancestor worship and in domestic and religious ceremonies.
