Altar cross - Arma Christi - 58 cm - Wood, Porcelain - 1950-1960

A beautiful and antique European 'Arma Christi' (Passion of Christ) altar crucifix, made in the period around 1950-1960. This authentic, handmade family piece shows exceptionally traditional craftsmanship. The corpus of Jesus Christ is beautifully detailed and made of high-quality white biscuit porcelain, mounted on a hand-carved wooden cross with Passion instruments. NOTE / CONDITION: The antique wooden frame has unfortunately recently cracked on the side. The broken wooden part is complete and is supplied loose in the package, so the buyer can easily restore or glue this themselves. Due to this crack the item is offered in 'reasonable condition' as a restoration project. The fine porcelain corpus itself is in excellent condition and sounds beautifully clear. Dimensions: Height: 48 cm, Width: 19 cm, Depth: 10 cm
