Todas las subastas / Etnográfica / ALPINO, GREEN ACTINOLITE RAYS Crystals on matrix - Height...
From our selection of collectible minerals, we present a rare group of acicular crystals of Actinolite from Vinschgau, in South Tyrol. In addition, it is characterized by splendid rays of green acicular crystals arranged radially on a light-colored matrix, with a beautiful color contrast between the dark tufts and the light background, which enhances its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that enhance its natural structure and visual impact. Actinolite is a calcium-magnesium-iron amphibole whose name derives from the Greek 'aktis' (ray) and 'lithos' (stone), precisely for the typical radiating habit that its crystals assume. The green color is due to the iron present in the crystal structure, while the typical radiating acicular form originates during crystallization in metamorphic rocks such as schists and amphibolites. The Alps, and in particular the Alpine arc of South Tyrol, are historically known for the quality and variety of metamorphic minerals found there. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the field of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always indicated in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best highlight colors and details; however, slight variations in shade may occur depending on the device or ambient light. Shipping is carried out via reliable, selected express couriers, with fast delivery (in many cases 1-2 business days in Europe), tracked and insured shipping, and professional and secure packaging, as confirmed by customer reviews.
