Rare full steel Alpina from the 1940s – Featuring the Renowned Calibre 598 A charming and increasingly hard-to-find Alpina from the 1940s, combining understated Swiss elegance with a high-quality mechanical movement. Early examples like this remain particularly appealing to vintage watch enthusiasts. Case: Stainless steel, measuring about 34 mm excluding the crown. Good condition. 18 mm lug width. Fancy lugs! Caseback: Stainless steel screw-down caseback in very good condition. Movement: Alpina calibre 598, a high-quality manual-winding movement. Beautiful traditional Swiss engineering, appearing very clean and running well. Service history unknown. Dial: Original, unrestored dial with an attractive vintage patina.
