UP FOR AUCTION: • Vehicle in entirely original condition and never modified • Designed by the renowned Giorgetto Giugiaro • Interiors preserved in factory gray velour • Mechanics featuring the characteristic Alfa Romeo Transaxle layout HISTORY/PANORAMA: The first-series Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro for Italdesign and presented in 1974, represents one of the most iconic sport coupes in the Italian automotive scene of the 1970s. The car is distinguished by its wedge-shaped design with a high, truncated tail and by the innovative Transaxle mechanical architecture, characterized by a longitudinal front engine with a clutch-transmission-differential assembly and rear-mounted disc brakes, a solution conceived to ensure optimal weight distribution between the axles. This example up for auction was first registered in Germany in 1978 and subsequently re-registered in Italy in the early 1980s. The car has remained entirely original over time, never having undergone modifications. BODY/PAINT: The bodywork is sound, with paint still bright and all factory-original glass. The floors, sills, and luggage area are intact and free of corrosion. The car rides on alloy wheels in the “millerighe” pattern paired with new tires. INTERIOR: The cabin preserves the original gray velour upholstery in good condition, free of rips or obvious defects. The dashboard is intact and equipped with perfectly functioning onboard instruments and an era Pioneer car stereo. MECHANICS: The mechanicals are in good working order.
